BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS (BBBS)

BBBS pairs children and adults, thereby establishing a friendship/mentoring relationship. The adult meets regularly with the child and engages in activities that the two enjoy together. Although most children in the program are typically developing, BBBS has in the past worked with children having special needs.

CHARLES CAMPBELL CAMP

This week long camp is in a beautiful location south of Red Lodge, MT.

DOWN SYNDROME RESEARCH EDUCATION ADVOCACY IN MONTANA (DREAM)

DREAM consists of a diverse group of parents in the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas with young children with Down syndrome. They meet once a month to allow their children to play with each other while the parents discuss Down syndrome specific topics

EAGLE MOUNT

Eagle Mount has a variety of programs that may provide recreational and social outlets for your child. These include winter sports, swimming, equestrian experiences, and horticulture programs. Eagle Mount provides these activities for children and adults.

MONTANA INDEPENDENT LIVING PROJECT (MILP)

MILP offers recreational activities such a mall walks and several social groups.

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ACCESS PASS

This free pass is available for: U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Applicants must provide documentation of permanent disability and residency or citizenship.

OPTIMISTS CHILDREN’S CAMP

This week long camp is held at the same location as the Charles Campbell Camp. Eligible campers are those with developmental disabilities from the age of 8 to 21.

ORCHID CLUB

The Orchid Club connects families raising young children with special needs through play groups, community events, and educational opportunities.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS MONTANA

The Bozeman area is home to many special olympics teams. For school age children, the teams are often sponsored by their school district. Numerous adult teams also exist and accept new athletes.

THRIVE

Thrive provides Gallatin Valley families with the resources, tools, and support they need to raise healthy, successful children. They provide mentoring, education, and support to children and families through various programs including CAP mentors and recreational activities.
