New to Bozeman

Welcome to the Bozeman area! Our Path4Care crew is so invested in our community of special needs folk and families – we are glad you are here. Together we put together a brief ‘new to bozeman’ list of some of our favorite things for you to explore and get involved in. We have found that the more we put into this inclusive community, we get so much more back. It is such a special place and we are excited for you to discover the many gems it has to offer.

Personally, I’ve met my best friends at some of these functions and volunteering. We hope that a few of these suggestions will resonate and enrich your life and enjoy what our community has to offer.

SPECIAL NOTES

If you are new to Montana there are a couple things you need to be aware of: The wait list for housing services and support is years long. You need to get your special needs person in the Montana state ‘system’ ASAP. When you register for school and your child has an IEP (individual education plan) have getting state services for your child as a goal and they can help you navigate the system . Visit SEPTA and attend their meetings to learn more about resources for your school age special needs child. They have the knowledge!
